| Exciting News ! Kenneth Quinn ,a new member, received the Air Medal at a ceremony at the State Department. We believe he is the first ambassador to receive the award which was for his heroism in the Viet Nam War where he served as a civilian military advisor as the Ambassador to Cambodia on over 50 combat helicopter missions during the War | ||
 We just received word about former civilian's awarded the Air Medal FDR in 1943 awarded the air medal to two Civilian Air Patrol pilots for an attack on a NAZI submarine submarine and General Hap Arnold in 1944 awarded the medal to Barbara Erickson the leader of a group of Wasp pilots who did stateside piloting so those male pilots could be released for combat duty. |
