TO ACCOMPLISH OUR OBJECTIVE OF IMPROVING THE RECOGNITION OF THE AIR MEDAL
Lee Stanley, one of the members of our founding members committee, has taken on the responsibility of developing a program for improving recognition of the Air Medal and the airmen who hold the medal.
It is Lee's objective to create an item of recognition which will be placed at a feature spot at every airport in the United States . It could very well be a plaque or a monument and would tell the story of the Air Medal, the wide range of airmen who won it over many war and peacetime accomplishments. It is his intent to create and make the feature available and ask the local members in each community to implement the project at their airport. It could be that a place for the names of all local recipients could be included. There will be more on this as Lee progresses with his plan and he encourages any suggestions you may have.
